State Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi's congressional campaign announced Wednesday that the campaign has raised nearly $500,000 in contributions this year.

That includes more than $410,000 in the third quarter alone, which came from more than 1,100 contributions from statewide donors, according to the campaign. Of the third quarter contributions, 66 percent of those were for $200 and less.

Brindisi, D-Utica, is running against U.S. Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-New Hartford, to represent New York's 22nd Congressional District.
