Gov. Andrew Cuomo is scheduled to make a stop in Rome on Thursday afternoon for an unspecified announcement.

Local officials are expected to be in attendance for Cuomo's announcement, which is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Capitol Theatre, according to the governor's public schedule. Details about the announcement were not available.

Ahead of his visit to Oneida County, Cuomo is first scheduled for stops in Niagara Falls — where he will make an announcement and attend a separate ribbon-cutting for the Courtyard by Mariott Niagara Falls — and in Rochester for another announcement.
