City police are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred early this morning on Columbia Street.

UTICA - City police are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred early this morning on Columbia Street.

Around 1:15 a.m., Utica police responded to Columbia Street near Varick Street for a report of shots fired. It was discovered that an occupied vehicle on Columbia Street had been struck by gunfire.

The driver was not injured. Police are working to determine if he was the intended victim of the shooting. Evidence was located at the scene and the incident is under investigation.
