MID-YORK WEEKLY

After suffering a 3-0 loss to No. 6/8 Syracuse on Sept. 1, the Colgate men’s soccer team came out on top Sunday as the Raiders picked up a 3-0 victory at Monmouth in West Long Branch, New Jersey.

Seniors Zach Tamen and Ethan Kutler both scored goals in the opening 30 minutes to give the Raiders an early lead before junior Jared Stroud added a last-minute tally to cement the 3-0 win. Senior keeper Ricky Brown made six saves, one of which was on a second-half penalty kick chance, to secure his third clean sheet of the season.

The Raiders remain on the road this weekend when Colgate heads to Siena Saturday, Sept. 10. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
