The Morrisville State College cross country teams opened the 2016 season Saturday, Sept. 3, on the road at SUNY Poly.
The women’s team finished 10th overall as a team with 282 points. Raylene Wade paced the Mustangs with a 19:05 time in the 4K race, finishing in 30th overall.
Mikayla Solloway (Sherburne) and Maria Miner each crossed the finish line in 21:44 to place 57th and 58th, respectively, before Maura Conlon crossed in 64th with a time of 22:40.
Marie Temara rounded out team scoring with a time of 27:37, finishing 73rd overall.
The Mustang men also finished 10th overall in Marcy.
Justin Depue led the Mustangs on the day, finishing the 6K race in 23:04 for a 52nd place finish, followed by Ben Seale who crossed a minute later in 58th overall position.
Isaiah Evans (Cazenovia) was third to score for Morrisville, posting a time of 24:16, 59th individually, before Mason Craine followed three seconds later for a 60th overall place finish.
Benjamin Kehrli rounded out team scoring with a time of 25:19, finishing in 66th position.
Morrisville State returns to the courses Saturday, Sept. 10, traveling to the SUNY Cobleskill Fighting Tiger Invitational.
