HERKIMER — Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES will host a Curriculum Night for parents from 6 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 28 for all school-aged programs at the William E. Busacker Complex and Remington Educational Complex, as well as the HeadStart program at the WEB Complex.
Parents of students in career and technical education, VP-TECH, special programs and HeadStart should attend at the WEB Complex at 352 Gros Blvd. in Herkimer. Parents of students in the Pathways Academy should attend at the Remington Educational Complex at 77 E. North St. in Ilion.
Curriculum Night is designed to help parents better understand what their students are being asked to do throughout the school year and allows parents to be partners in the education process.
The event is not an open house. It is specifically for parents and specific to each program, and the schedule is tight, so attendees will want to make sure they arrive by the 6 p.m. start time on Sept. 28, according to a news release.
Parents will hear about content expectations, grading, unique features of the programs and how to support their students at home.
If parents have any additional questions about Curriculum Night, they should contact a principal of the program their students are in, according to the release.
