Della Santina-Wilsey promoted by Comets

Lisa della Santina-Wilsey was promoted to executive vice president of Corporate Partnerships for the Utica Comets and is responsible for retention and service of current partners, acquiring new business through team sponsorships and overseeing marketing activation.

Prior to joining the Utica Comets during its 2013-14 inaugural season as vice president of Corporate Partnerships, della Santina-Wilsey was with Sharks Sports and Entertainment, working as the director of corporate partnerships for their ECHL affiliate, the San Francisco Bulls.

She managed new business and oversaw activation, as well as the valuation of team, suite and arena assets at San Francisco’s Cow Palace.

She began her career in the music business, working for HK Management of Los Angeles.


Grimmer director

of giving strategies

Nick Grimmer has been named director of giving strategies at The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties.

He will guide the cultivation and expansion of the foundation’s portfolio of philanthropic partners.

He also will lead efforts to engage a growing number of charitable partners in supporting the Lead-Free MV initiative.

Lead-Free MV is the first of the foundation’s impact investments, which seek to address longstanding community challenges by leveraging resources with like-minded partners for maximum impact.

Grimmer brings more than a decade of experience in fundraising and major gifts solicitation to the foundation. He served as assistant vice president of alumni relations and development at SUNY Polytechnic Institute, the executive director of the SUNY Poly Foundation and director of the SUNY Poly Alumni Association.

He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from SUNY Poly. He and his family live in New Hartford.



Glimmerglass fest appoints artistic staff

The Glimmerglass Festival has appointed Allen Perriello as the new director of the Young Artists Program.

In addition, current Glimmerglass principal coach/accompanist Christopher Devlin has accepted the position of head of music staff.

Perriello and Devlin join the company as Associate Artistic Director Michael Heaston departs to lead the Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Young Artists Program following the 2016 Festival.

Perriello is entering his fifth season at Arizona Opera as Head of Music and director of the Marion Roose Pullin Opera Studio. He oversees the musical preparation of all mainstage productions, as well as the selection and training of the studio artists. He has been coaching young opera artists since 2006 with such companies as Pittsburgh Opera, Seattle Opera, San Francisco Opera and Boston Lyric Opera.

Devlin has been a principal coach/accompanist with The Glimmerglass Festival since 2012 and has served as vocal coach at Montreal’s McGill University, The Dallas Opera, Connecticut Opera, Fort Worth Opera and Opera Atelier of Toronto.
