Crouse Community Center celebrates
Crouse Community Center is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a week-long celebration Monday, Sept. 12, through Saturday, Sept. 17.
Crouse Community Center, a community based not-for-profit organization, opened in August 1991.
Over the past 25 years, the center has transformed its services from traditional long-term care to a premier post-acute, rehabilitation health care partner.

The anniversary schedule:
* Monday: Rededication Ceremony and lunch, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., by invitation.
* Tuesday: car cruise in and ice cream social, 5 to 7 p.m., public welcome.
* Wednesday: Senior Health Fair, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., public welcome.
* Thursday: Resident and staff field days.
* Friday: Agriculture Day and farmers market, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., public welcome
* Saturday: Crouse Community picnic & music, 5 to 8 p.m. Fireworks at 8:15 p.m.

Risk management course offered
Gilroy Kernan & Gilroy has developed an eight-part leadership training course, “Strategic Risk Management Fundamentals.”
The first session will run 8:30 to noon Wednesday, Sept. 28, in GKG’s training center, 210 Clinton Road, with subsequent sessions held monthly through May.
The curriculum will cover such topics as the culture of safety, the total cost of risk, pre- and post-loss strategies, best practices, OSHA standards, and the connection between corporate wellness and safety.
Participants will gain a better understanding of strategic risk management and the ability to create an effective action plan.
GKG will present Certified Leader in Risk Management designations to people who attend every session.
