Welcome to September Mid-York Weekly readers! I hope everyone has a great month. As you know, elementary and high school students will be back in school next week. The school buses will be on the road as well. Be extra careful. Keep in mind when you see the yellow and red lights blinking, get ready to stop. Don’t pass the bus from either direction. It keeps everyone safe and no tickets will be written.

Belated anniversary wishes to Pete and Lu Palmer. They recently celebrated their 61st anniversary. Hope you had a great day!

The Clothes Basket is closed Sept. 3 for the Labor Day weekend and will be closed the next week for changeover. They will re-open at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, fully stocked with fall and winter articles. Regular hours resume on Sept. 17 – from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays. Baked goods will be available on Saturdays as usual.

Last call for the Lions Club Birthday/Anniversary Calendar. Make sure to get your birthday and anniversary dates to a Lions Club member by today (Sept.1).

Last call for any Morrisville-Eaton alumni to reserve a spot for the M-ECS All-Class Luncheon held at noon Sept. 15 at Quack’s. The cost of the luncheon is $15. Call Harriet McNamara at 315-684-9200 by Sept. 1 if you plan on attending.

There will be other events coming up later in the month. The Morrisville Public Library will be sponsoring a Blood Drive; there will be a Bottle and Can Drive; and the Morrisville Fire Department will participate in a Fire Drill. More details to come.

That’s all for now. Take care and have a good week.
